Generations Chiropractic
Project Overview: Create a custom Business logo with graphic
My Role: Work with the owner of the company to create the imagery and completed logo.
Client Background: Elizabeth is newer to the field of chiropractic. She was working closely with an established provider who was looking to sell the current business.
Problem Statement: The current company is named USA Chiropractic. When Elizabeth officially takes over the clinic, she will be changing the name and rebranding the company to be geared towards mothers, children and the elderly
Research Methods: Elizabeth and I set a meeting in which we sat down to go over what her vision was for the logo imagery. During this meeting we discussed that she wanted more of a silhouette of people that incorporated children, mothers and the elderly. We went through some various images on google to establish what she generally was pulled towards.
Concept Development
Brainstorming: To make sure the imagery was accurate I found various photos of people who fit the direction the clinic was going. The images included and elderly man and woman, expectant mother, baby, toddlers and school ages child. Since I would ultimately be using my references to make silhouettes I looked at the positions of the body and the possible details that may be included to see how each would fit together. I was aware that some would possibly be used to give a backdrop for another.

Design Process

Mockups: Once I established the basic imagery components for the logo, I used Procreate to move the pieces in various ways to give multiple options of placement for Elizabeth to consider.
Iterations: Elizabeth was able to quickly narrow the design she liked so that we could make final edits. For the visuals themselves she asked for the shoulder of the middle woman to be less prominent. For the company’s name she liked the font choice I had suggested so no changes were to be made.

Implementation

Production: Once I completed the design, I provided the imagery in full color as well as a black and white version. The design has been placed on the building, a large, wooded yard sign, the plazas listing billboard, as well as on the entry to the individual unit. The design had also been applied to various promotional signage which included posters, banners, cups, and shirts.
Challenges: Even with color specifications and codes provided, sometimes the printed colors vary. In order to ensure accuracy, I provided her with the specific color profiles that included information for RGB, CMYK and a spot color as each company she works with may ask for something different.

Results and Impact

Client Feedback: Elizabeth absolutely loves her logo
Reflection: Everyone's tastes are different. With this specific case study, I was drawn to another version of the design, so it is important to not get attached to what you like to be effectively open to the wants and needs of the client.

Conclusion

Summary: The project involved creating a custom logo for Generations Chiropractic, a rebranded clinic focusing on mothers, children, and the elderly. I worked closely with the owner, Elizabeth, to create a logo incorporating silhouettes representing the target audience. After brainstorming and refining designs, a final logo was produced and applied to various promotional materials. Despite some color printing challenges which were addressed, Elizabeth was thrilled with the result, and the project emphasized the importance of adapting to client needs.
